Ocean Sampling Day – (Summer Solstice)

The World Ocean Sampling Day (OSD). OSD is a citizen science project established in 2014 by Micro B3 in Europe. Microbe B3 stands for “Microbial Biodiversity, Bioinformatics and Biotechnology,“ which defines the organization’s main focus. For my contribution to their global efforts, I conduct an annual water quality assessment of the Rachel Carson Estuarine Research Reserve by testing seawater samples from four locations around the Reserve. My results are shown below the RCERR Sampling Site Map.
