Windmills and oil wells… must be Wyoming

Looking West: Wyoming is known for having vast oil deposits and lots of wind, with green grazing pastures between them. The only thing missing here are the cows, which were actually grazing on the other side of the ridge.

The terrain changed dramatically today as we ventured into Wyoming and headed for Medicine Bow. Along the way, we stopped by a rocky outcrop of granite known as Vedauwoo and had an opportunity to crawl and climb around the granite that covered the park. We are continuing to follow the course of the Platte River as it winds its way into Wyoming, carving and navigating the multi-faceted terrain that lies ahead.
